LIL WAYNE BLOGS FOR US: WORLD SERIES? "I SEE THE TAMPA BAY RAYS."

The Red Sox start the playoffs this week, and my thoughts are up in the air about them because, honestly, their chances are up in the air. I'm so grateful they made the post-season, but I'm kind of not sure about them. You know how you can envision a team in the World Series? I don't see them. I close my eyes and I see the Tampa Bay Rays. I'm a big emotion guy. I'm a heart guy, and I think they all play that way. They have nothing to compare this to. Whether they make it to the World Series or not, we're watching the first winning baseball team Tampa Bay has ever fielded. That right there is always amazing, no matter who the team is. I am actually trying to go down there to catch two games at the end of the week if I can. Maybe sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" or throw out the first pitch. You never know. You know they need somebody to throw the first pitch. That would be my first major league game. My dream is still to catch one at Fenway, of course...

This is the second entry of Lil Wayne's Blog on ESPN. First off im highly jealous of this situation. He is offically living the life. Its a man's dream to be very successful in the profession he chooses(in the case a rap superstar) and then to find an avenue to express all your sports opinions that every man watching T.V. does in his home anyways with his buddies. It has to be a blessing. Its crazy. Its the american dream!

Above are the previously unseen Supra Vaider’s that we all saw Weezy rockin' at the VMA's. They were made for Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz (Ashley Simpson's baby daddy) for his 29th B-Day, which explains the 29 on the back and why only 29 pairs were made. Weezy was one of the lucky ones to recieve a pair, but I doubt we will see any others anytime soon... Thanks to The Shoe Game for the word up!

Young Jeezy's Recession Whomps New Kids On The Block's Comeback LP

There are some weeks where the race for Billboard's coveted peak position is a close one. Take last week's chart battle for instance: Slipknot's All Hope Is Gone narrowly beat out the Game's L.A.X. for the #1 spot, by a margin of fewer than 2,000 copies. Other weeks, there's a clear-cut winner, whose ascension to the top goes largely unchallenged.

This week's chart falls under the latter category. Rapper Young Jeezy's The Recession is slated to enter next week's albums chart at #1, with first-week sales clocked at close to 260,000 copies. Jeezy's nearest competitor? The reunited New Kids on the Block, whose new one, The Block, debuts at #2, marking the first time in 14 years that one of the band's studio efforts has entered the top 200. According to the latest Nielsen SoundScan sales totals, NKOTB's latest sold 95,000 copies, meaning Jeezy's run for #1 wasn't much of a race.

The Recession is Jeezy's second consecutive album to bow at #1, following 2006's The Inspiration, which opened on top with 352,000 sold. In 2005, his debut, Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101, entered the chart at #2, scanning 172,000 copies.

Slipknot may have spanked the Game on last week's chart, but this week, it's the Game who outsold the 'Knot. L.A.X. falls one spot to #3 on next week's chart, selling 89,000 copies during its second week in stores, while Slipknot's All Hope Is Gone plunges four chart positions to #5 with 75,000 sold. Wedged between those two LPs, we find Kid Rock's Rock N Roll Jesus, which falls one place to #4 with a reported 79,000 in sales. Jonas Brothers' A Little Bit Longer slides two spots to #6, with 57,000 sold, followed at #7 by the "Mamma Mia!" soundtrack, which sold another 56,000 units. Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III rounds things out at #10, having scanned another 47,000 copies...

Officer Testifies Lil Wayne Had Guns, Drugs

One day after performing and taking home a best Hip-Hop video honor at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, Lil Wayne appeared in a New York courtroom to answer for a 2007 arrest on his tour bus.

The 25-year-old New Orleans rapper, born Dwayne Carter, was arrested last summer after the bus was stopped by authorities who searched the vehicle and found a .40-caliber pistol.

He was later charged with one count of criminal possession of a weapon.

According to The New York Post, Carter was present today (September 8) for a pre-trial hearing on the case.

Officer Diane Hornung testified that she boarded the bus after Carter performed at a concert at the Beacon Theater in Manhattan on July 22, 2007, when she saw and smelled marijuana smoke that wafted from the bus’ open door.

About 15 people boarded the bus around 11:30 p.m. after the show, said Hornung, who added that authorities pulled the bus over about 14 blocks away from the Theater after it loaded up with passengers.

When asked why she got on the bus, Hornung testified that she smelled "marijuana and I saw someone peeking through the curtain (over one of the windows on the bus)."

Hornung later ordered everyone off the bus, after which she said she headed to the rear of the vehicle, opened a bathroom door and saw a man trying to flush a sandwich bag of marijuana down a toilet.

At that point, Hornung said she confiscated the bag.

The officer then testified that she saw Carter in a bedroom at the back of the bus, sitting on a bed in his underwear and trying to hide a bag.

As the rapper was getting dressed, Hornung said she looked in the bag and found a loaded .9mm handgun...

Lil Wayne in Unseen (Pete Wentz) Supra Vaider @ MTV VMA

MTV’s wack VMA awards was full of…well you know, but then again that’s expected right? Kanye West performed his new track which is suppose to be on his new album that will drop in December. However, Young Weezy was doing it big as well. Lil Wayne has been killing the game, and he continues to get the proper recognition for this hard work. Did you peep his footwork last night? Wayne was seen all night long in Supra’s, we mean all night a long. He was seen in Skytops, and he also was rocking a pair of never seen before Supra Vaiders.

Word is the Vaiders were made for Pete Wentz for his 29th birthday. The kicks were only given to VIP’s which include Lil Wayne, Pharrell, and KAWS just to name a few. Only 29 pairs were made, so if that’s not exclusive then we don’t know what is. Check out the other pic after the jump. via CtotheJL

Kanye Debuts New Song; Lil Wayne Wins At VMA's

Cash Money Records rap star Lil Wayne and R&B crooner Chris Brown emerged as winners Sunday (September 7) during the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.

Lil Wayne, who took home the award for Hip-Hop video of the year for his Static Major-assisted hit "Lollipop," was very brief in his acceptance speech with only three acknowledgements.

"Thank God. Thank my family and thank y’all," said the rapper, whose performance was introduced by Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps.

With Leona Lewis providing vocals on the hook for "DontGetIt," Lil Wayne finished his energetic set with "A Millie" and "Got Money" with T-Pain...

Other VMA performers included LL Cool J, Pink, Lupe Fiasco, Paramore, Christina Aguilera, Katy Perry and Kanye West, who closed the more than two-hour show with "Love Lockdown," a new song that is expected to appear on his upcoming fourth album.

West's performance came in direct contrast to his boycott of the VMAs following his criticism of last year's show...

Weezy Wants to be King

Weezy (reportedly all sizzurped-up) opened up to Blender Magazine in a recent interview:

The Hustle: “It’s a faucet I can’t turn off, I can try and ignore it, but I can’t ever turn it off. And I gotta keep going, ’cause I still don’t have the crown. Someone else just won Best Male Hip-Hop Artist at the BET Awards. Why not me? Huh? That tells me I’m not going hard enough. That tells me I’ve done something wrong.”

Real Life: Spotting Gremlins, Rush Hour 3, and E.T. DVDs on his coffee table, I ask him what other ways he wastes time. “I don’t waste time,” he responds. He watches TV, but has no patience for anything besides the ESPN lineup. ” I don’t watch anything where they go ‘action’ and ‘cut’ cause that means its not real. If I wanna see some acting, I can get 15 naked bitches to act out a scene. I’m a real life nigga. Life’s too short for me to die tomorrow and the only thing I know about is the last episode of Law and Order.”

Mama Said: “I wasn’t ever no action-figure kid, if I wanted to fight, I’d fight for real.” Wayne thanks his mother, Cita Carter, for this mentality. A tough-as-nails chef, she raised him by herself, teaching him early on how to act like a man. When he was in junior high, she gave him his first Glock, with instructions to empty it into the first guy that messed with him.

Damn. It’s sound’s like his mom dukes believed in that tough love. Click here for the entire interview
