Cameo for Kobe on Jimmy Kimmel Emmy Special

Good news for all of you Kobeheads out there: KB will be making a special cameo appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s Big Night of Stars Sunday, Sept. 21 at 7pm on ABC.
Kimmel's show precedes the 60th Primetime Emmy® AwardsPrimetime Emmy® Awards show, which will follow at 8pm.

In addition to Kobe, Kimmel’s special will also feature appearances by Michael Phelps, Salma Hayek, Tracy Morgan, Heidi Klum, Ryan Seacrest, Jon Hamm and more.

MTV's 'TRL' Winding Down After 10 Years

It's time to start the countdown clock on MTV's countdown era. "Total Request Live" will soon leave the air after 10 years.

Dave Sirulnick, executive producer of "TRL," said Monday that the music video countdown show will conclude in a two-hour special on a Saturday afternoon in November. He stressed that the show wasn't ending for good, but felt now was the right time to give it a break after an unprecedented run on the cable music channel.

"TRL" debuted in September 1998 and became the splashy center of the teen pop music scene with Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys, N'Sync and other acts.

From its heyday until 2008, it's been a destination for musicians, movie stars and celebrities promoting their new music, movies and other projects.

Sapp, gold medalists May-Treanor and Greene will be 'Dancing With The Stars'

Olympic beach volleyball gold medalist Misty May-Treanor, retired NFL defensive tackle Warren Sapp and sprinter Maurice Greene make up the athlete contingent of the seventh season of ABC's "Dancing With The Stars." The roster of contestants was unveiled Monday in New York. The new season premieres Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET.

A record 13 dancers will compete on the show. Included are the program's youngest dancer ever -- 18-year-old Cody Linley of the popular Disney Channel show "Hannah Montana" -- and its oldest, 82-year-old actress Cloris Leachman.
