Randy Moss x Pony 2008 Fall/Winter Collection

Before the start of this year and in a move that surprised many, all-pro wide receiver Randy Moss made the jump to Pony after having been sponsored by Jordan Brand since his early beginnings in Minnesota. The result with Pony is a full-out collection which covers all aspects from training, on-field play and off-field leisure and recovery. With future Hall of Famer Tom Brady out for the year, Moss goes from sharing the spotlight in New England to pretty much taking center stage solo which should help boost the profile of a re-emerging Pony. The collection of off-field products seen here include the Moss Trainer Mid, Moss 5.OZ Trainer and Moss Top Star Mid. Originally slated for a September 15th release, they will be available at select Pony dealers on October 15th.

Star wideout skipped practice, ignored calls

FOXSports.com has learned that the Giants have suspended Burress for two weeks for failing to show up for work on Monday and not responding to several phone calls by the team to explain his unexcused absence both Monday and Tuesday.

The star wideout, who was just rewarded with a new lucrative contract three weeks ago, was slated to meet with team officials early this morning to explain why he would've violated team rules and failed to return several phone calls explaining his whereabouts.

The excuse apparently was not good enough and head coach Tom Coughlin told the team this morning of the predicament and subsequent punishment...

Shockey out 3-6 weeks with sports hernia

Associated Press

METAIRIE, La. -- Tight end Jeremy Shockey, the Saints' second-leading receiver through three games, is expected to be out for three to six weeks because of a sports hernia.
Shockey, who was acquired from the New York Giants in a trade shortly before training camp, had 16 receptions for 151 yards during the Saints' first three regular-season games. He played Sunday in New Orleans' 34-32 loss at Denver, catching five passes for 56 yards.

On Monday afternoon, Saints spokesman Greg Bensel confirmed to The Associated Press that Shockey was scheduled to have surgery this week.

A sports hernia is the weakening of muscles or tendons in the lower abdominal wall. For Shockey, it's the second serious injury in as many seasons. He broke his left leg last December and missed all of the Giants' postseason run to a Super Bowl championship.

Shockey's absence also is the second major blow to the Saints' receivers this season following the loss of Marques Colston in Week 1.

Inside the NFL

I know I'm late, but I also know ya'll forgot too. So like a wise man once said "Better late, than never." Lets go Titans!

Young has sprained MCL; no timetable for return

The Tennessee Titans received the results of QB Vince Young’s MRI exam on Tuesday, which confirmed a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

The Titans gave no timetable for Young’s return, but indications are he could be sidelined anywhere from 2-4 weeks with the injury. His MRI exam was originally scheduled for Monday but had to be pushed back until Tuesday.

Young was injured during the fourth quarter of the Titans’ season-opening 17-10 win over the Jaguars on Sunday...

Merriman will have season-ending surgery

First Tom Brady. Now Shawne Merriman.

San Diego's three-time Pro Bowl linebacker has elected to have season-ending surgery to repair torn ligaments in his left knee. Several Chargers players and general manager A.J. Smith have said that the Pro Bowler has informed them of the decision.

"Shawne informed me he did not feel right and thought it best to shut it down," Smith said in a statement. "The road to winning the AFC West just got more difficult, but not impossible. Nothing is impossible. Shawne is a great player and an inspirational leader. He will be missed. We wish him a successful surgery and a speedy recovery..."

Saints lose Colston to thumb injury

Could Week 1 have gotten any worse in terms of injuries to big-name players?

It can. And unfortunately for the New Orleans Saints, it has.

The Saints have lost their top receiving weapon, Marques Colston, to a torn ligament in his left thumb, FOXSports.com has learned. Colston, in fact, quietly had surgery on Tuesday to reattach the ligament and will miss the next month to six weeks.

It's a huge loss for the Saints, who now must roll without their leading receiver. Colston was the steal of the draft two years ago as the former Hofstra University wideout has put forth two 1,000-yard seasons in his first two years. His 168 catches are more than any NFL receiver has ever had through only two seasons. In the Saints' season debut on Sunday he hauled in three balls for 26 yards in a win over the Bucs...

Vince Young's mother: QB 'hurting inside and out'

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The mother of Titans quarterback Vince Young said he indicated he doesn't want to play football and is "hurting inside and out."

Felicia Young said in Wednesday editions of The Tennessean that her son is tired of all the negativity he's faced after being booed during a 17-10 win Sunday over Jacksonville. On Monday, Titans coach Jeff Fisher called police to help find him.

"What would you think, if you were tired of being ridiculed and persecuted and talked about and not being treated very well, what would you do? What kind of decision would you make?" Felicia Young said "He may not want to deal with it (all), but you have to get to that point before you make that decision first.

"But we're not talking about football right now. We're talking about what would make him happy, and that is the most important thing..."

Titans asked for police help to find QB Young

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Vince Young is awaiting an MRI exam on his sprained left knee Tuesday, hours after the Tennessee Titans sought help in finding the quarterback described to police as "emotionally down."

Young left his home around 7 p.m. Monday night without a phone, prompting the Titans to call Nashville police for help. The Titans were able to get a message to Young through a friend, and the quarterback met with coach Jeff Fisher and police at team headquarters around 11:30 p.m.

Police spokesman Don Aaron said Young drove himself home afterward.

The Titans said Tuesday that people close to Young called the team Monday night, concerned about his state of mind when he left his home. After Young met with Fisher, the team said in a statement that it considered the concerns "unfounded."

Terrence Newman (Of The Dallas Cowboys) Afraid Of Roller Coasters! "Dear Baby Jesus"

Description:
Terrence Newman Is Afraid Of Roller Coasters

T.O. draws our first overly-sensitive celebration penalty

Terrell Owens scored on a deep ball in what's looking like a fun and competitive Browns/Cowboys game. Owens was fairly open and the touchdown looked easy ... but then he made the ensuing kickoff more difficult for his special teams unit.

After scoring, Owens walked back towards the goal line, shaking and loosening his legs. He got down on a knee, lifted up into a sprinter's stance, pretended to burst out of the gates, and that was it. A mild tribute to Usain Bolt, and he jogged off the field.

No props, no delaying the game, no taunting anyone. Just 15-yards of joy-sucking yellow laundry. Wade Phillips argued vehemently (or at least, as vehemently as the cuddly old fellow can), but to no avail. He didn't say a word to Owens, though.
