According to several sources, the 23-year-old Chicago rapper was robbed and beaten during an altercation at the popular Downtown nightclub early Saturday morning.
Shortly after entering the venue, which is reportedly co-owned by rapper Trick Trick, Berg, born Christian Ward, was allegedly confronted by a group of men over disparaging comments he had made about Detroit rappers, during a previous visit to the city.
According to a witness, despite the presence of his personal bodyguard who was also involved in the fight, Yung Berg was unable to defend himself and was reportedly relieved of his jewelry, including a multi-colored diamond encrusted “Transformers” chain.
Once alerted to the situation, Yung Berg's driver, hired by Radio One because of his security background, interjected, escorting him out of the venue and out of harm's way...
